Welcome

Welcome to the Perception and Action Lab where we study how humans see the world and use visual information to guide motor actions. Current areas of research include multisensory integration, 3D perception, visuomotor control, visual working memory, statistical learning in vision and using virtual reality systems to retrain depth perception in amblyopic and strabismic patients. We use a range of behavioral paradigms including classical psychophysics, virtual reality, eye tracking and motion tracking to study these problems in humans and computational modeling to characterize both how perception and action problems can be solved "in principle" and how the human brain solves them.

We are part of a larger community at the University of Rochester that studies perception, action and cognition.
