I'm currently a 4th year graduate student at the Center for Visual Science in the Brain and Cognitive Science Department at the University of Rochester working towards a joint PhD in Brain and Cognitive Science and Computer Science. My advisors are Dana Ballard and Mary Hayhoe.

My research interests revolve around the distinction between 'looking' and 'seeing'. I am currently studying human eye movements in extended behavior and how they depend on the ongoing task. This requires to work with behavioral, theoretical, and computational methods. We observe how humans use their visual system, build models of the tasks they execute, and implement algorithms that learn how to solve these tasks in virtual agents.
