Kamran Ahmad
Sr. Software Programmer/Analyst Meliora 248 Job DescriptionKamran Ahmad has been working at the University of Rochester Center for Visual Science since 2005. He provides software support to the research labs of David Williams, Geunyoung Yoon, William Merigan, Mina Chung, Alfredo Dubra and Krystal Huxlin. He has worked on numerous medical imaging applications such as scanning laser ophthalmoscopes (SLO), wavefront sensing and correction using adaptive optics, swept source OCT and a broadband spectral domain OCT. Previously he has also worked on industrial machine vision systems used in electronics manufacturing. Ahmad received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore Pakistan in 1999. He worked at the same university as a lecturer for Java and Computer Design, and then later started his career as a Software Programmer at Delta Indus Systems where he developed machine vision applications. In 2002 he moved to Charlotte NC for higher studies and received dual MS degrees in Optical Engineering (2004) and Computer Science (2007) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. *Core Grant Staff | |
