2012 program schedule

The Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester announces its 2013 Summer Research Fellowship Program in Vision Science. Undergraduates in their junior (3rd) year during the 2012-2013 academic year of baccalaureate studies interested in neuroscience, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and biomedical science are invited to join the Center for Visual Science for a summer of supervised laboratory training. Applicants will be selected based on academic achievements and an interest in pursuing graduate studies in science. Both US and foreign applications will be accepted.

Our fellowship will cover travel and assist with on-campus housing expenses for non-local students and provide a stipend of $3,600 for a summer of continuous training in a faculty member's lab. Training will also include an orientation with introductory lectures, weekly talks from CVS faculty, laboratory demos, a poster session and CVS picnic at summer's end. Rochester, located near Lake Ontario in western New York, is an internationally recognized center for visual and imaging science and provides a scenic and natural setting for a variety of outdoor activities.

Note: This program is for undergraduate students ONLY. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in the Center for Visual Science should contact the faculty member(s) who fits their areas of interest directly.

Notifications of acceptance or denial to the program will be sent by the end of February 2013.
