Requirements for a Minor in Visual Science
Five courses are required
- One of the following:
- CVS/BCS 110: Neural Foundations of Behavior
- CVS/BCS 111: Foundations of Cognitive Science
- CVS/BCS 153: Cognition
- BCS 240/NSC 201: Basic Neurobiology
- CVS/BCS 151: Perception & Action
- OPT 248/448: Vision and the Eye
- One of the following upper-level courses:
- CVS/BCS 220: The Intelligent Eye
- CVS/BCS 245: Sensory & Motor Neuroscience
- CVS/BCS 504: Sensory Systems (with permission of instructor)
- CVS/BCS 505: Perception & Motor Systems (with permission of instructor)
- CVS/BCS 391: Independent Study (one semester only)
Requirements for a Research Minor in Visual Science
Five courses are required
- One of the following:
- CVS/BCS 110: Neural Foundations of Behavior
- CVS/BCS 111: Foundations of Cognitive Science
- CVS/BCS 151: Perception & Action
- OPT 248/448: Vision and the Eye
- Two semesters of CVS/BCS 395: Independent Research in Visual Science. These may be either with the same faculty member in CVS or with two different faculty.
